The Regional EU-ASEAN Dialogue Instrument, or READI, has supported the compilation of the first-ever ASEAN State of Education Report in response to a request from ASEAN. The report shall help ASEAN to assess its educational landscape, in order to best prepare students for success in schools and the workplace, as well as prepare them to contribute actively to the ASEAN community building process.

It could further lay the basis for a potential policy dialogue between ASEAN and EU with a focus on regional mobility, lifelong learning, MRA and quality assurance in education. In any event, we hope that the report will further stimulate regional cooperation in education in ASEAN.
